T wanted a plants and zombie cake for his 8th birthday and i went " what is plants and zombie?". he then educated me about the game and i decided to make the cake for him. this is a 5 kg cake with chocolate layers in between the moist chocolate cake, 6 layers in all. Yumm Yum. i had plants on 1 side of the garden surrounded by the fence and sunflowers on each corner as well. on the garden there was cabbage pulp, melon pulps, jalepeno, pea shooter, squash, gravebuster, snowpea, magnet shroom, fume shroom. they were attacking the zombies.............driller zombies, flag zombie, metal door zombie, basket ball zombie. all from plants and zombie 1 and 2. i felt it was a balanced art piece of characters and a theme of plants attacking the zombies... most importantly T friends zoomed in on the fondant characters and popped them into their mouths before i could start cutting up the cake. delicious and delightful cake that could feed 40-60 people in small slices. i enjoyed the entire process of making this and with many parents impressed by the results, some commented that i should do their kids cake. Why not? Write to me if so. there are some choices available for the characters too such that your kids can choose some of his/her favourite. best thing, this cake fits just right into your fridge and the box can be closed. some fondant double layer cakes can get so bulky and impossible to fit into the fridge, this is not one of them.
cant wait for an order and being able to post the next artwork to share with you all.
some ideas on how to decorate the party venue ....keep everything green and yellow as far as possible. goodie bag items, drinks, buy some live sunflower, and do some drawings and paste them on the wall. i have more ideas and if you need just write to me, glad to help. oh yes, we also had water games around the plants n zombie theme..
lastly i always have a sweets and candy multilayer tray in each party, a definate winner with the kids,....
this had konaku jelly shaped in starfish, hearts, fishes, apple and lemon pieces on the top layer, yogurt jelly on the next and finally the mashmellows on the last tray. this picture was taken when it was already half gone....
